FOCUS ON IMPACT

If I want to make the biggest impact, the best way to do this is to make sure I always focus on solving the most important issues and problems people face with regards to mind, body, and spirit. It seems simple in theory, but I believe most companies do this poorly and waste a lot of time. I expect everyone (staff) at JCFS to be excellent at finding the biggest “problems” in our industry and create a solution to work on.

BE BOLD

Building great things means taking risks. This can be scary and prevents most companies from doing the bold things they should. However, in a community and industry that’s ever-changing, you are guaranteed to fail, IF you don’t take risks. I don’t believe I have all the answers, but I am willing to listen and actually hear what people want and be daring enough to predict trends and movements within this industry that keep JCFS always ahead of the market and in tune with the people.

BUILD COMMUNITY VALUE

Once again, JCFS exists to make the Journian’s more aware and informed and not just to build a company. I expect everyone (staff) at JCFS to focus every day on how to build real value for the community in everything they do and everything we offer and everything we stand for. We are like an Oak Tree…deep, strong roots that can withstand all kinds of weather. The symbolic meaning is that of leadership and wise ruler. We lead the community and the business organically grows and withstands the test of time and competition. Stay steadfast to your beliefs…this is Journey. A place where relationships and results are grown and matured.

THINK BIG, BUT START SMALL

Moving too fast does not allow JCFS to formulate and build the brand properly and still maintain the idea and feeling within the Journian’s of “community first, money second.”  However, as most companies grow, they slow down too much because they’re more afraid of making mistakes than they are of losing opportunities by moving too slowly.  JCFS is looking to grow our market and our community, but only when the time is right and the growth is present. Grow with the times, not too big too soon!

BE INSPIRING

I was taught by an incredible woman, as a child, the value of dreaming. Dreaming doesn’t mean to be unrealistic, it means to think outside the box, listen to your heart, be mindful of your feelings and to not be afraid to reach out and encourage and inspire someone to be better or to want more.  The more information JCFS can provide to the community, the better decisions and the greater the impact each person will have on their journey in life.

THE JOURNEY PROMISE

Journey Cycling and Fitness Studio (JCFS) was originally opened to give people what they deserve and demand in the culture of boutique fitness. The mission remains to give them the best, but to also build relationships that last and give each person the tools, the time, the attention and the dedication it takes to reach their goals and beyond. JCFS is a revolution in the industry that I believe is all about personal communication and genuine caring for another human being.

I think it’s important that everyone who invests their time and energy into JCFS understands what this mission means, how we make decisions and why we do the things I do.  At JCFS, I am inspired by people, music, situations and results. I am also inspired by how relationship building has revolutionized the way people spread and consume information. It proves to me that people are hungry and eager to learn, swallow, digest and implement those teachings. By simply making communication open and teaching at the level of the individual, this has made the learning curve and the results efficient and long-lasting. It’s a lifestyle, not a quick “fix it” pill. JCFS has given people a voice for encouragement. They, the “Journians,” encourage progress amongst each other. They change the way society views traditional working out. The members bring us all closer together. It’s now the JCFS Family. In a brief moment, JCFS has changed thousands of lives.

As I said above, JCFS was originally founded to give people what they deserve and what they demand in the culture of boutique fitness. I’ve always cared primarily about our mission, the services I am building and the people who use them. Here is why I think this approach is different and why it will work. Most great people care primarily about building and being a part of great things, but they also want something in return. So, simply put: I don’t build services to make money; I make money to build better services. These days I think more and more people want to use services from companies that believe in something beyond simply maximizing profits. By focusing on the mission and building great services, I believe JCFS will create the most value for JCFS members and to keep attracting the best people and building more great services. I don’t wake up in the morning with the primary goal of making money, but I understand that the best way to achieve the mission is to build a strong and valuable brand.
